Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Rank Capture Grow LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company operating as TurnTechs (“TurnTechs”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information in connection with the TurnTechs website, applications and related services (the “Service”). It forms part of our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade or otherwise disclose it to a data broker or an advertiser for consideration, and we undertake not to do so. This commitment is stated again, with its full extent, in Section 4.

1. Information we collect

1.1 From a job seeker:

• identifiers, being name, email address and telephone number;
• professional information, being trades, qualifications, certifications, licenses and test records, together with their issue and expiry dates;
• education and employment history, and any further detail added to a profile, including equipment owned and references given;
• location information, being home ZIP code, the ZIP codes in which the seeker will work, willingness to travel, and the terms required to travel;
• images, being a profile photograph and photographs of work performed; and
• records of the permissions granted to us, retained as evidence that they were granted.

1.2 From a poster:

• identifiers, being name, email address and company name; and
• posting information, being the requirements, location, dates and compensation of each job posted.

1.3 Automatically: ordinary technical records generated by operating a website, including pages requested and the times of those requests, retained to operate and secure the Service.

2. Purposes for which we use it

1. To match a job’s minimum qualifications against a job seeker’s profile.
2. To present to each User that User’s own profile, postings and applicants.
3. To send notifications about work or applicants, where the User has asked to receive them.
4. To secure Accounts, prevent fraud and misuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Disclosure

1. Telephone numbers are not public. A poster receives a seeker’s telephone number when that seeker applies to the poster’s job, so that the poster may contact him. No other User receives it.
2. On application, the poster receives the applicant’s profile, being his trades, qualifications, experience and photographs.
3. Posters are not provided with a list of the Users of the Service.
4. We use service providers to operate the Service, including a database and hosting provider and a messaging provider. Each processes personal information on our instructions only and for no purpose of its own.
5. We may disclose information where required by law, legal process or a lawful request by a public authority.
6. If our business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or disclose it to a data broker or an advertiser for consideration. We do not disclose it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is no version of the Service in which this changes.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use a single cookie, to keep a signed-in User signed in. The Service carries no analytics package, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker, and nothing on it follows a User to another website.

6. Security

Personal information is held behind authentication and transmitted over encrypted connections, and the credentials granting access to the database are held on our servers and are never issued to a browser or a device. No system can be warranted secure against every intrusion, and we do not warrant ours to be. Where personal information is compromised, we will notify affected Users as required by applicable law.

7. Retention

We retain a profile for so long as the Account remains open. On closure of an Account we delete the profile and the qualifications associated with it. We retain the record of permissions granted to us, that record being the evidence that they were granted, and we retain any information we are required by law to retain, for the period required.

8. Your rights

1. You may review and amend your profile through the Service at any time.
2. You may delete your Account through the Service, under Settings.
3. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or request its correction or deletion, by writing to the address in Section 11.
4. Depending on your state of residence you may hold further rights, including the right to direct a business not to sell or share your personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of; we will honour any such request nonetheless.
5. We will not discriminate against any User for exercising a right under this Policy.

9. Children

The Service is for working adults and is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and will delete it on becoming aware that we have.

10. Changes

We may amend this Policy. We will update the date at the top of this page, and where a change is material we will notify Users through the Service.
